Practical Experience
After high school, Austin spent ten years managing a 6,000+ acre family farm in central South Carolina. There his responsibilities included overseeing the application of commercial pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers that were critical for the farm’s success.
Education
Austin earned his degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management and later studied Agriculture at the University of Tennessee, where he excelled academically, making the Dean’s List and joining the Gamma Sigma Delta honor society and the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.
Certification
Austin completed testing with Clemson University’s Extension program and earned licenses in aquatic and structural pest control, including fumigation, as well as management of ornamental and turf grass.
